Lombardy is a metropolis near the magnificent Lake Como. It also has the technically advanced Malpensa Airport that is located at the foothills of the stunning Alps in Italy. Lake Como is one of the star attractions in the region and leisurely boat trips to the near by regal villas and gardens including charming hamlets of Varenna, Bellagio, and Tremezzo that provide some breathtaking views of the perennially snow-covered Alps peaks make for a great recreational activity. The lake Iseo is a small lake than Como and is home to Franciacorta, where some of Italy's most illustrious wines are produced. Lombardy also houses the town of Cremona, home to the best violins in the world.
