Founded in 1600, by a bunch of farmers who in an attempt to escape the intense harshness of winter, settled down from the upper Gratteri in a valley with a more pleasant climate, Lascari is a small town in Italy.
Lascari is close to Santa Maria and is a open, friendly, and recreational village with all the trapping of a self contained unit. A part, fountains, theatre, play areas for children, groves of olives and other citrus fruits, Mediterranean pine trees and tall eucalyptus trees all lend a definite attraction to this hamlet.
