Dominated by the prominent Norman-Swabian dynasty of Lanzas since the 16th century, Trabia is a land rich with water and many noble families. The splendid symbol of power, Blasco Lanza rebuilt the imposing castle that was destroyed in the 1517 mutiny, while his son Cesare expanded and increased the fortress. The castle has large terraces, with beautiful visuals of the glorious gulf of Termini, tall towers and a large courtyard.
